Devotional #48: The Walls of Jericho Fall

This is a big week. If you grew up going to Sunday school, you probably remember this story. The walls really did come tumbling down!

• Day 1: Play “hide and seek” as you role play being the Israelites and Canaanites, showing how everyone was afraid of the Israelites because God was with them.

• Day 2: Get crafty as you discuss the three ways God prepared His people to rely on Him before go into battle. Cut away sin (with play dough), celebrate (with hole-punch confetti), and feast (with fruit of the Promised Land.)

• Day 3: Jesus shows up as the Captain of the Lord’s Army, so today, make a sword out of cardboard and aluminum foil - and decorate it!

• Day 4: Build Jericho out of blocks and use the provided props and puppets to act out the marching.

• Day 5: Make a paper mache ram’s horn with help from the printable. Then, using your Jericho build and your props, act out the day of battle and knock those walls down!
