Our Bible verse this week is: “What is hidden will be seen. And what is out of sight will be brought into the open and made known".” Luke 8:17 (NIRV)

We learn that lying is wrong and God does not like lying. We learn that there is punishment when we do wrong, but we also learn that Jesus paid it all for us so we can be free from our past mistakes!

Activities this Week:

Day 1: Explore the magnetic properties of various metals after discussing how God declared that all of the spoil from Jericho was to be set apart as holy and put into the Lord’s treasury.

Day 2: Read about how Rehab was saved, but Achan stole some items that were supposed to be given to the Lord’s treasury. Decorate a shoebox in which to “bury” some gold, silver, and fine cloth.

Day 3: Make binoculars and a sword, and put on your running shoes. Go spy out Ai, go into battle with 3000 men, and then run back to camp as fast as you can, because the Israelites lost!

Day 4: Learn together what it looked like when Joshua repented for the Israelites - wear torn clothes, put dirt on your head, and pray fervently!

Day 5: Achan is found out, and today we dig up our shoebox from Day 2, reveal Achan’s sin and thank Jesus for dying for us as we reveal our own sin to Him!
